Don't freak out, for either reason. He's either worth your time and frustration or he's not. Don't expect him to change, don't expect anyone to change. My guess is you always knew, to some degree, of his predilections. Walk away sooner than later.

Maybe I contacted the girl because I didn't really feel a strong sense of commitment from you. Sleeping with another guy will do that. Then again maybe I just wanted to see what else was out there.
